Scanned PDFs need OCR

If your PDF is a scan (image-based), the text is actually a picture and cannot be edited directly. OCR (optical character recognition) would be needed first — not yet supported.

Frequently asked questions

Can I edit any PDF?

Most PDFs with selectable text, yes. Scanned (image-based) PDFs need OCR which is not currently supported.

Will fonts look the same after editing?

The editor preserves the original fonts when they are embedded in the PDF. If not embedded, it falls back to a visually similar system font.

Can I delete pages?

Yes — remove, reorder, or insert blank pages from the page manager sidebar.
