This Refund and Cancellation Policy applies to all paid subscriptions purchased on XQL Tools (https://xql.tools), operated by X38 AI Labs Private Limited. Please read this policy carefully before making a purchase.
1. Scope
This policy applies only to paid Premium subscriptions. Free (Member) accounts involve no payment and are therefore not subject to refund terms.
2. Free Trial / Free Tier
We offer a fully functional free tier and a free Member account. We encourage all users to explore the platform thoroughly using these tiers before subscribing to a paid plan. No credit card is required for the Free or Member tiers.
3. Subscription Model
Premium subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, as selected). By subscribing, you authorise us to charge your payment method on each renewal date until you cancel.
4. Cancellation
4.1 How to Cancel
You may cancel your Premium subscription at any time by:
- Logging into your account and navigating to Settings > Subscription > Cancel Plan, or
- Emailing us at support@xql.tools with the subject line "Subscription Cancellation" and your registered email address.
4.2 Effect of Cancellation
Upon cancellation:
- Your Premium access will continue until the end of the current billing period.
- You will not be charged on the next renewal date.
- Your account will revert to the Member tier after the billing period ends.
- Your cloud storage will be reduced to 1 GB. If your stored data exceeds the Member limit, you will be notified and given 14 days to download or delete the excess before it is removed.
5. Refund Eligibility
5.1 General Rule
Due to the digital and immediately consumable nature of our services, all subscription payments are generally non-refundable once processed.
5.2 Exceptions — When Refunds Are Granted
We will issue a full refund in the following circumstances:
- Technical failure: You were charged but were unable to access Premium features due to a bug or server-side error on our end, and the issue was not resolved within 72 hours of reporting.
- Duplicate charge: You were charged more than once for the same subscription period.
- Unauthorised transaction: You report an unauthorised charge within 7 days, subject to verification.
- Newly purchased plan: If you contact us within 48 hours of your first-ever subscription purchase and have not materially used Premium features (AI credits consumed or files stored), we may issue a refund at our discretion.
5.3 Non-Refundable Situations
Refunds will not be issued for:
- Change of mind after the 48-hour window.
- Partial use of the billing period (e.g., cancelling mid-month).
- Daily complimentary AI credits (these are free, non-purchasable credits that reset each day).
- Purchased AI credits that have already been consumed, regardless of outcome or satisfaction.
- Failure to cancel before auto-renewal (it is your responsibility to cancel in advance).
- Account suspension or termination due to violation of our Terms and Conditions.
6. Refunds for Purchased AI Credits
Purchased AI credits are separate from subscription plans and governed by the following rules:
- Purchased credits that have NOT been consumed may be refunded if requested within 7 days of purchase, provided fewer than 10% of the purchased credits have been used.
- Once more than 10% of a purchased credit pack has been consumed, the entire pack is considered used and is non-refundable.
- Credits are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or subscription discounts.
- If your account is terminated due to a violation of our Terms, any unused purchased credits will be forfeited without refund.
To request a refund for purchased credits, follow the process outlined in Section 8 below, including your transaction ID and the number of credits remaining.
7. Annual Plans
For annual subscriptions, refunds may be considered on a pro-rata basis at our sole discretion if a refund request is made within 7 days of the initial purchase and Premium features have not been substantially used. Renewals of annual plans are treated as new purchases and are non-refundable.

We aim to respond to all refund requests within 5 business days.
9. Refund Processing
Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 7–10 business days, subject to your bank's or payment gateway's processing timelines. We are not responsible for delays caused by your bank or payment processor.
10. Chargebacks
If you initiate a chargeback with your bank or card issuer without first contacting us, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account pending resolution. We encourage you to contact us first — most issues can be resolved quickly and amicably.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund Policy at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
